    Default (LC) Royal Flushhhh Boyyyyyy!

I guess there's some content since i think i played the hand bad. I hate re raising with draws when the re raise is not all in but i guess a better line would have been re raise flop , call a shove obv and if i get a flatcall shove any turn. Also this was like SNG #100 of the day and 2 A.M. , half asleep and a little annoyed that i played all day and ran like poop.

Meh another question is what's everyone's thoughts on facing a preflop raise early with Ak? I tend to just call during LVL 1 and 2 and sometimes 3 depending on chip stacks and amount in the pot when it gets to me. I use to re raise with it a lot but i seem to be seeing better results flat calling. Suggestions?

I think you need to raise the turn to protect your hand...

I prefer to flat call against most players early on, if theres a lot of dead money and i feel theres a chance im flipping, Opp could have a lower ace or i have a read that Opp is a retard i shove. If they have nitty stats or im readless i normally flat call.

It depends on the situation but in most cases I have started to flat call too. This may be the wrong strategy at higher buy-ins but I always find it works ok for me at the low buy-ins. It would be interesting to see what the better players think of this though.

Nice hand BTW, good to see one in Spades for a change. I've had 4 Royal Flushes so far and all of them have been in the suit of Hearts. I'm starting to get bored of them.

With the two limpers before the raiser, I prefer to re-raise this to increase the chances of going to the flop HU. I really do not like to see the flop with AK with 4 opps. If it was just the open raiser I might just flat call to see the flop.

On the flop, I would probably shove it given the chips already in the pot. I don't like re-raising because if you do that, miss the turn and opp shoves you are in a tough spot.

On the turn, I would definitely raise it. Minraise anybody?

River obv fine given the size of the pot.

I agree with Tai on the pre-flop move. You can't go into a hand with pre-conceved notions on how you are going to play the hand. AK and AKs are very strong hands when played against one player, but diminish in value against multiple opponents.

If I know I will end up playing AK against one (or two at the most) opponents then I may flat call pre-flop. However, as Tai mentioned, if there are others to act I am re-raising to limit the field.
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

I sense sarcasm, but this is what I was thinking when I read it. I know this screams strength at high buyins, but at low buyins, it screams "I'm a tard" because you see it so often from tards. Opp's driving the betting, he'll definitely call the minbet, but if I have a read that he's fairly reckless, I'll push him over here. Heck, he may push over your minbet!
