I think he's got a half decent hand but one which he doesn't want to play.

Say 1010, jj, qq, aj, aq, ak - against that sort of range, I think it's a standard fold, now if you had AK - I think I may well struggle to stop myself from shoving. I could probably advocate shoving the AQ here if you've got any knowledge of this chap from previous hands, either way I fold or shove, more likely fold. Never call.

As you said, blinds are still quite low. The raise is very big, 400 is 8 times the BB, there will be people talking after you. Easy fold in these conditions, without any special read that raiser is a psychopath.

Fold is standard in this spot unless you have a read that the raiser is a maniac (in which case I shove over).
