    What to do?
    He was 13/8 over 150ish hands.

    UTG raises to t300, 5 folds, hero ??

    I hate spots like these.... and not really sure what to do here given we both have 30bb..... , call , and get it in with a overpair maybe?

    If either you or he had smaller stacks I'd push over in an instant. As is however I think DH is right, call and evaluate the flop.

    Bad spot, I agree with the others, call and see the flop because both of you have big stacks. Tough spot if you flop an overpair though.

    The problem I see with raising here is that he is obviously tight based on HUD, it is a pfr in first postion to likely build a pot with a big hand, and another problem is that he is directly on your left which means later on (if you raise and he comes over and you fold) that he is going to have more chips to work with in your blind battles which will give him more leverage around the bubble, and makes it more difficult for you to steal. Calling is fine, you already are in with your blind, and the vast majority of the time this is my play as well.

    If you think he views you as super-tight, and he was a little looser popping it to 700 is an option as well, as he may fold.

    I agree with Tai that if you have an overpair here it is going to be tough-trust your gut.
