Default $24 - Shortstack acts weird

His stats were 18/11 over 45 hands.
    Would you shove over pre?
I did not think I had much FE and I suspected a trap...
As played how to play on flop and after?

    Button (t2655)
    SB (t1140)
    Hero (t3150)
    UTG (t1585)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[], 2[].
4 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

    Flop: (t600) A[], 4[], A[] (2 players)
    SB checks, Hero ??
I am just another learning player, so read my comments (very) open minded.

Wow, a more interesting hand than I thought at first.

My gut reaction is to c/f this down. We're comfortable. On the other hand, a lead for 400 and give up if called/raised could be a better move.

PF...if he's completed much before I push over, if this is a rare move then I suspect trap and play things slow.
Just dipping my toes back in.

I agree with this. If he's been shoving a lot and now suddenly completes when it's an obvious ATC push for him, then I get very suspicious. If on the other hand he's been limping a bunch of times then I shove over.

Agree with above comments , just c/fold it down. I've started being careful about pushing from BB when SB completes , at least vs regs (very few at the 6.50's) bcuz they have noticed i do it a lot and have trapped me with high PP by just completing a few times. Now if i notice i have stats on a guy and they are TAG and he completes with less than 10bb , i usually check pre , and check/fold flop , unless i hit something big , i've gone as far as folding top pair (lower board) bvb when i had a gut feeling villian was trapping....

I think the other factor to consider is that if you've been shoving a lot (which I'm guessing you had been) then the risk of being trapped is higher.

Not sure I could go quite this far, but I definitely wouldn't try to bluff out a player like this without a hand.
