    Default Bad call?

    I was really unsure about this one. Villain had just lost a pot losing 1/3 of his stack with QQ . .

    Running a few hands through Pokerstove obv not big ones because I can't see many sane players open shoving JJ+ above at 25/50 yeah he could have AJ/AQ/AK etc but is this an overly bad call?

    Range assigned pretty wide, should I be narrowing this perhaps?

    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 58.697% 55.05% 03.64% 269613257 17838758.50 { AcTc }
    Hand 1: 41.303% 37.66% 03.64% 184428170 17838758.50 { JJ-22, A2s+, K9s+, QTs+, A2o+, K9o+, QTo+ }

    Would you assign an even tighter range?

    I ought to add this is a $6.50 18man turbo. 25/50 level . . no reads of note on villain aside from his loss with QQ.

    I dont make this call. Even if he has something like a mid-pair that doesnt want a call you're on the wrong side of a coinflip, and we're rarely a strong favorite (A2-A9).

    Nope, I think he's pretending to tilt a lot here, and even if he's not I dont like it.

    Does it being a turbo make any difference?

    Obviously in a slow blind job - I'd insta-fold here as it's not worth risking, but in a turbo?

    As it goes just came 5th grrr 88 loses to K10, then AJ loses to A7 sigh.

    Not really. We have a decent stack, we dont need to make risky calls for extra chips just now.

    I'd fold this; as bjs said there are a lot of hands that he might shove in this spot against which you're either taking the wrong end of a flip (22-99) or dominated by (TT+, AJ+). By calling here you're basically hoping that he's tilt shoving A2-A9 or Kx or something.

    If he standard raised from the button on the other hand, super easy shove over.

    Yeah i fold given it's BB 50. If it was 50/100+ from a agressive BU (i'd like to know he knows what he's doing and is pushing wide here with atc b4 tho) i snap call.

    Cheers guys for the advice, I didn't think it was a particularly brilliant call. Results were okay . . but in hindsight I should have just folded.
