WTF kind of overbet is that?

Hate this spot, but I can't see him playing anything that beats you like that (except for possibly Q-weak kicker), I probably grit my teeth and call.

I dunno. The only money we have invested is our mandatory BB, and from my perspective I cant think of a hand he plays like that which we DO beat. This feels like a donkey who hit a set and wet himself with excitement to me.

OESD, mid or bottom pair as well as pockets lower than Q is a huge part of the range of a donkey here. That said, it is a tough spot because you are either way ahead or way behind. Any other Q hand beats us, or a limped AA KK, not uncommon for donks to limp premiums here.

Donkeys would rarely shove a set in this spot, they'll check behind and try to trap.

I think this is often missed broadway cards or something like a small to medium pocket pair that didn't make a set. If he had Q-decent kicker, why would he blow us out of the pot here?

I usually fold without any reads besides the PAHud stats (36/9 doesnt tell you much). I'd be more inclined to call if the board was more draw heavy. If the flop came [Qh 9h 3s] I'd be more inclined to call the donk bet due to all the possible drawing hands. On a dry board like this I think its a higher queen (or better) too much for calling to be profitable

It just seems like the times I make a hero call here, more often than not villian has set a really poor trap and I've fallen for it. It feels like those times outweigh the times I'm ahead. I dont have set numbers on that though, could just be that the former stays in my mind more.
