Default Tourney ($11) - out before bubble, any spots I missed?

I got short early here. Managed to stick around for a long time as the short stack, but couldnt get back into it. I sometimes worry that multi-tabling I miss spots in these situations, so I'm interested in whether people can spot places I could have made me some more chips, as well as normal reviewing.

    Thanks.

Hand 10 – I probably push pre after the Button limp – unless he has a habit of limping big holdings from the button. Ivhad’s pretty short himself put him to the test. I despise the button limp and frankly give it no respect at all. A lot depends on the player on the button mind . .

Q 8 BU (M = 2.97; f+f+F) – I’m pushing this one, may well have pushed the 22 a few hands back from the button aswell.

Hand 12 – Again I probably push pre following his limp.

Hand 17 – A9 BB I feel is way ahead here and again I’m pushing and hoping to pick up the 600 odd in the pot.

Hand 21 – Is unlucky other than that looks pretty good

Q8 BU - For some reason I've become fairly passive from the button. I'll push almost anything from the SB if folded to me, but I think you're right that I'm missing spots from the button.

Hands 10-12 - I'm really iffy about how to play these button limps. More to the point though, I feel like they're usually just betting any flop or turn and I'm giving up pots too easily.

Hand 17 - I'm not so sure about this one. One limper and I definately push over with A9, but 2 has me worried.

Hand 21 - Frustrating, but any time I get AI with AK while short I'm happy.

I can't stand passive limpers - a lot does depend on their previous play I suppose, i.e have they been limping big holdings etc, from UTG/UTG+1 I'd be wary but a button limp just gets short shrift from me usually, if I have a half decent hand in the BB I'm sticking it in.

And by half-decent you include decent drawing type hands like 9T?

Yeah probably . . if I get called then I'm likely to be that not much of a dog, obviously I'd rather not get called.

A lot depends on the limpers previous play/stack related to mine/tendency to call etc . . but if I'm getting short I don't mind sticking it in with hands like 9T in far more than say A6 etc as your likely to have only 3 outs with the A6 (either the Ace - get called by a pair or the 6 if you get called by a higher Ax) if you get called where as the 9T has a half decent chance of doubling up.

I see the logic, just need the guts to do it I guess .

Hand 17 - without reads i like checking. this becomes a push if you see a loose limper in late position

    In-between 19 and 20:

95s btn - with how short you are this might be a push

Q7o co - if you see 3 tight opps behind you its probably a push. probably ok to fold

    4. 99 - I am never sure what to do here. Preflop is fine I think although I'm not delighted about it and you don't really have set odds. Flop is fine, but on the turn I think I give it up, there's too much that you're behind here (despite the shit that opp showed, OMG)

    7. You played fine, but did Ivhadenov just fold getting 6.5 to 1 pot odds on the flop?

    8. KQo - flat calling off 20% of your stack is no good here, shove or fold preflop, I probably reshove it. It is a disaster for you if SB or BB shove over, it's even bad if one of them call.

    2 2 BU (M = 4.07; f+f+F) (between 8 and 9) - I might shove this depending on stack sizes of the blinds

    9. A7o - I don't think that SNG Wiz will think this is a good shove from UTG with 4 players still to act. Understand your fear about eating the blinds though, but I still think you're just deep enough to fold here and see what comes in the BB.

    2 9 SB (M = 3.30; f+f+f+F) (between 10 and 11) - definite shove
    Q 8 BU (M = 2.97; f+f+F) - most probably a shove too

    Q 3 SB (M = 6.30; f+f+f+F) (between 15 and 16) - shove if opp has been tight

    17. A9o - this isn't a bad spot to shove preflop and pick up the 600 in dead chips.

    9 K BU (M = 3.74; f+f+F) (between 17 and 18) - seems like another good spot to shove it

Hand 4 I dont think we're behind much. That bet looked strange to me. If he has an ace and he's getting AI on the turn, why not the flop? Other than that its a pretty dry board all lower than my PP. He had what I thought he had, a draw.

Hand 7: Yes he did fold that, crazy stuff. He must have been on pure bluff and felt he had no chance. That or he really respected the push...

Hand 8: I hate this too. I wasnt sure what my move was here. If I reshove and get called I'm almost certainly well behind, but I think I've got a good enough hand to call shorty. You're right though, if I'm going to play I need to shove to isolate.

Hand 9: I had a couple of spots like this. I hate being short at a fairly full table...

QSpade 3Heart SB (M = 6.30; f+f+f+F) - I think this is another spot I need to work on. I have approx 10BBs and a decent but not great hand. I've been tending to fold these too much.

Other than that, I really need to work on my button shoving range. I get my laptop back tomorrow, I'll be able to start running hands through sngpt again then and relearn some ranges.

    Thanks.
