    He was 45/0.

I lead out here and if he pushes, im in with hopefully some outs, probably not know much about this player he could of called you with a lot of things besides an ace, plus if it was a big ace he probably woulda came over the top of you preflop if he was that short. Odds are you are winning the hand of have a good amount of outs if your not, so i commit myself by leading out hoping for a fold obviously.
back looking to make some moolah

I would check, call if he shoves, shove any non spade turn, but moving in is fine too and much better than folding at any point.

My instinct was to shove flop, but drmc's line makes a lot of sense. If we're going to get it AI anyway, give opp more of a chance to get his chips in.

Whats your line if the turn does bring a spade drmc? Are we still happy to get our chips in with our pocket J spade?
Just dipping my toes back in.

The problem with checking is that he looks passive and will probably not bet the flop too often and it would suck if we let him pair is overcard.

Opp has 760 behind and the pot is 650. I just put opp AI right here and now, particularly since we were the preflop raiser.

yes, but I would check turn spade then shove river so we are more likely to get a call from worse spades or maybe two pair+

Matt I agree checking is passive but:

I think he's forced to move in with any PP with a spade

He may bluff since we can't continue without a good spade or an Ace.

It's hard to figure out what he'll call a push with that doesn't have us beat or flipping, except maybe the same PP(or 9x)+spade combos he'll shove anyway.

And I can't see that we ever fold a better hand.
