Default Steal attempt & CB ok?

    Hi,

i think that Q9s is marginally strong enough for a steal attempt and the OESD plus a J on the board (to put me on something like KJ b/c of the raise) is good enough for the flop bet, is that correct?

SB is unknown, BB: 67/8/0.6 , fold to CB 70%

    Pacific Poker NL10
    6 players

    Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is Button with Q 9
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.3, SB calls, BB calls.

    Flop: 5 T J ($0.9, 3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.5, 2 folds.
Uncalled bets: $0.5 returned to Hero.

    Results:
    Final pot: $0.9

definitly raise to 4bb here but this is super standard. Always cbet an OESD, especially when you have the initiative.

it doesn't matter wether you raise 3x/3.5x/4x as long as you always do that. both have advantages. I guess it depends a bit how many times you pf raise/how much pressure you want to put on someone/wether you 4bet light etc

You played this perfect OP. Probably want to raise 4x preflop at the smaller stakes though.

id raise larger pre flop because of BB - might as well get a few more $$ in for him to fold away on the flop.
