Default Bottom pair on flop, two pair on turn ($27)

This was the first hand of HU, so stats are probably irrelevant. Opp had a touch of the calling station about him (preflop at least). Liked to get tricky/trappy postflop with check/raises and the like.

How is this line? Lead or check/call the river?

I have no idea how to even get a range here. I don't doubt that a 9 is in a part of his range, the question is, how big of a part. But then again I guess so is Q8. Check call seems a little better against a station as long as he's passive because you hate to get bluffed out on the river.

I could also see T8 in his range but think we would have re-raised on when the J hit the turn.

Dude, I have no idea what he has. I think your bet on river is good because if he has a week holding (like KT or KQ) he will most likely call and if he has been stringing you along he may push over your bet.

If he pushes THAT would be a tough one as I am not sure I could lay down two pair in a heads up situation unless I had a read that villian was a nit (which it doesn't seem like he is).
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

btw I don't mind a c/f or c/c on the flop. For the final 2 in a sng this is relatively deep still, in those situations I recently have begun to play passively oop and aggressively in position, and it seems to be working well.
