He was 36/4, first time I played with him.
He limped a few times before and I pushed over (with a hand and 10BBish stack).
Is he now trapping me and if so, is his range wide enough for me to call?

I would have raised just a little bit less preflop, say 650-700 to go.

With 3365 behind and blinds at 100/200/25 I would most likely fold this and find a better spot. It is a crying fold however because there is a good chance that you are ahead of him with your A9, even more so because you have shoved over his limp a few times already. For that reason I don't hate it if you called here, but I do think that stacks are deep enough for you to find another spot.

if it's 100/200 you should say ante/no ante, tell your friends over at 2+2

Anyway, given history I think if you don't want to call the shove you should check instead, surely he's doing this with KQ/KJ, a few worse As, low PPs - so you end up in a spot where calling and folding are pretty much = in EV .

This is not to say I think this is the range, just that I think it's in the ball park.

I'm sure you have read NLH T&P - you're putting yourself in the AJ getting 2/1 on a re shove AI call coming back spot. You can call, but you should have played it different (shoved or folded or limped or raised less) because you aren't happy about calling or folding.
