    Default Any Two Cards

When low stacked, around 5 to 7 big blinds, and you have to get a few more chips or your going to be blinded out, so you must commit here soon, especially if antes and the BB coming at you. There is a lot about any 2 cards being close to even and I am wondering what value a 5 or 10 would add to this starting hand.

I'm guessing you mean because you need a 5 or 10 to make a straight? It doesn't change things much - K5 does a little worse than K6 vs AK. Of course, if they are gapped, it does help - A5 does a couple points better than A7 vs AK because it can make a wheel. None of the differences are compelling enough to play one but not the other. And clearly if you're in against 66 rather than AK you want the A7.

Download pokerstove and you can run hands against each other and see how they play.

Is that just because theres slightly less chance of a 6 being counterfeited if so theres a paired board with a 6 and a K on it?

yeah, that must be it - also the 6 can make a few more straights since the 5 loses one of the As it would need for a wheel whereas all the 6's cards are live.
