    Default A Good Week

    3 final tables in 4 days, finishing 4th, 3rd and 2nd - for$68, $82 and $95 respectively.

The last one (just finished) was only a $1 event (With the others being $2 and $3) and I wasn't even going to enter due to the poor returns on anything less than a top 3 finish. It was also my proudest because it was the biggest field (797), I didn't suck out once (which I think is needed at least twice to final table) and most of all, it was a freezeout - no second chances.

Unfortunately, none of these wins register on Sharkscope but hey, I'm still happy!

Wow nice, is that reflected in your operation sig atm, or do you still need to update it?

isn't sharkscope just SNGs? you want OPR I think

No, that sig is for SNGs only. I got up to $283 before I did what I was supposed to NOT do............and donked it off.

I have a question about the turning point at the final table where it was chip leader vs 2nd place (me).

    Opp 1:
    Opp 2: SB (4000)
    Opp 3: BB (8000)
    Opp 4:
    Opp 5: Hero - 172,616 chips - 10d Ad
    Opp 6: Villain 1 - 219,434 chips - Jd Jh
    Opp 7:
    Opp 8: Villain 2
    Opp 9:

Knowing most will fold, I see this as playable and I raise from UTG+1 to 16,000. Villain 1 flat calls as does Villain 2. All else fold. The pot is 60,000

Flop comes 8d 3d 10c and I bet 40,00o. Villain 1 moves all in and as you can see, he has me covered. Villain 2 folds. The pot is now 303434 and I have to call 116,616.

I had top pair, top kicker plus I gave myself 14 outs and a quick "rule of 4" moment gave me the edge in a coin flip - which was an insta call in my eyes considering the pot odds and the situation. So I did.

Villain flips JJ and I land an ace on the river to leave him short stacked. Was this a good move? Being totally honest, I would have called irrespective of the odds.

He spent the entire remainder of the tourney berating me and is why I called the ultimate hand as he was distracting me - so he got his revenge. I didn't turn chat off (as I should) as I was having a convo with some railers.

    Thx

Lol, villian wanted you to call with TP, he's just bitching because he got what he wanted and you sucked out.

So you class a 50/50 as a suckout?

I see bad beats and suckouts as when a substantially inferior hand (which shouldn't even be playing) lands massive luck and hits one of 3 or so outs. I had 14 as well as TPTK.

Is that still a bad beat? Just because it came on the river doesn't change the situation in my eyes.

Ahh, missed that you had the FD as well.

In that case he's just bitching . Most villians will consider any hand where they get AI on the flop with the best hand at that time and lose as a suckout though.

    Couple of comments:

    1) Don't play for glory, play for ROI. Sharkscope, ranked on P5s, top x % in OPR is great if you are looking for people to suck your internet knob. It means nothing to the real bottom line.

    2) Your ATs hand should be too obvious for you to even bring it up.

Nice job Thunder. Does your BR look OK to play some $4.40 180s on Stars? I like the 180s given that the smaller field size cuts down on variance (I play the $22s). From what I remember and what I've heard, the $4.40s are pretty soft and you might do well in them.
    On moving up, properly rolled:
