Congrats on the win. My comments are as follows:

Hand 2 - I would not have checked the flop here, but nice check/raise on the turn and value bet on the river

    Hand 3 - Fold this pre-flop against a raise

Hand 5 - You need to play your flopped sets stronger. ESPECIALLY on a draw heavy board like this one. I would have re-raised on the flop to about 150-200.

Hand 6 - your steal attempt would have probably worked better on the turn.

Hand 7 - your third flopped set. WOW. Again though, play it stronger. Your flop bet should have been around 200, not 120. Then when he re-raises it I would not have shoved. Make it about 1000 to go (which is about half of his stack). He may be compelled to call that, then you can get the rest in on the turn. Btw, the shove isn't bad either though I just think you missed an opportunity to get more of his chips.

Hand 8 - This it too weak of a hand to steal with from the CO. What I do like though is that you were picking on the two middle stacks.

Hand 9 - Again, too weak for me to steal with

Hand 10 - Raise the pre-flop. The blinds are big enough that if everyone folds you are still ok.

Hand 12 - stealing with these ultra weak hands is a leak that you need to fix

Hand 17 - This is REALLY bad with the ultra short stack in the BB - On a side note I can't believe he folded.

Hand 21 - This was a bad call. I can see making this with A8s or higher, but not A2s

Hand 23 - A perfect example for why you shouldn't play these types of hand

Hand 25 - THESE are the types of hands to steal with.

Hand 28 - fold to the re-raise. Villian is telling you he has a hand and you have no reason to not believe him

Hand 29 - No need to push here. Just put in a standard raise

Hand 35 - Fold to the push. You are deep enough to wait for a better spot

I don't mean to sound harsh, but you got VERY lucky in this win. There were quite a few hands where you put yourself in bad positions by making weak calls then hit your longshot hands. You got lucky that none of your slowplayed big PP's (which you slow played EVERY time) were sucked out on, and you seemed to catch cards every time you needed them.

Hand 2: There are two flush draws on that turn, make your reraise bigger. Something like 500-600 is good.

    Hand 3: Fold pre.

Hand 4: Honestly, I fold this pre too from mid position at a full table.

Hand 5: In hand 2 I didnt mind the flat call on the flop because the board was so dry there arent many hands that would call a raise. But here you've got two broadways and a FD on the board, you really want to raise this flop. See now on the turn you get a horrible card. If he'd been playing a FD you're almost dead in the water here.

Hand 7: This is great. Wonder what he folded. As per Gator I make flop bet more (take odds away from draws), but I dont mind the push after his raise.

Hand 8: Yeah, I dont like raising this from here.

    Hand 9: Or this.

Hand 10: PSB as your bluff. Raise pre, make a smaller bluff. Any observant player will have noticed you either slowplay or small bet your big hands.

Hand 11: You want money in the pot with KK, raise pre.

    Hand 12: Stop raising these.

    Hand 13: Fine.

Hand 14: Repush to isolate, you dont want BB coming along for the ride and to miss the flop.

Hand 15: Fold pre. Theres that PSB with a weak hand again, very exploitable.

Hand 16: This looks fine, I only raise to 400 pre though, lets you c-bet less if you miss flop.

Hand 17: I probably fold this and let one of the others take on the shorty.

Hand 18: Definately bet river here. I know you're thinking 'knock out the shorty', but BB wont fold a hand thats better than you, so if shorty has you beat, BB sure as heck wont fold a hand that would have beaten him.

Hand 19: I dont mind raising these sometimes now we're 3-handed.

Hand 21: Terrible, terrible call. You dont call off 20BBs with A2s.

    Hand 23: Another terrible call.

Hand 26: Raise pre, you're as transparent as glass by now.

Hand 27: Such an easy fold, its like this button has gone missing from your table.

Hand 28: What could possibly make you want to call this?

Hand 29: Take a deep breath and look at the blinds, then look at your stack, then ask yourself why you're pushing this.

Hand 30: You got so lucky here. Opp must be retarded not to read your hand face up by now. That said, I cant see why you cant find a raise here somewhere, its like you dont want chips when you have a good hand.

Hand 31: Ahh, back to sanity, much better.

Hand 33: I dont mind this, but villian hasnt been standard raising much himself, I can see playing this one cautiously.

Hand 35: Omg, I just cant see what was going through your mind when you called this.

The rest of it looks fine.

You REALLY need to work on your calling ranges HU, your pushing ranges, and extracting value from big hands. This big bet with weak hands and slow play big hands approach will lose you a lot of games as you move up.

didn't read them all but you called like 34s, i instamuck. You also seem to play your monsters very slowly...very bad habit and you lose money this way. You hit your sets, something i'd kill to do for once, play them fast. Your calling ranges do seem a little weak from the few hands i noticed. Try to figure out what types of hands you want to be calling with pre in all situations and why.

    Thank you for the input.

Saying those hands are too weak to steal with doesn't make sense. I've read so many times that being aggressive with air from the Button or the CO is the way to go in these things folding to any sort of aggression back. Is that some kind of "in crowd joke"?

No its not, but obviously some of it passed you by so I'll try to give more details.

Firstly, a lot of the early hands I had a problem with, you were raising with crap from early or mid position. Even from the button though, you want some chance to hit a decent hand if you're called. If you feel the blinds are passive (more likely to fold) then something like 78 [i]might be ok to raise with since if you're called you may happen to not only hit big, but hit big in a fairly hidden way, which could really pay off. Something like 63 however is much less likely to hit big, so its just pure crap.

As for the bubble play, ITM and HU. You want to be aggressive, but not silly. Especially calling. Calling with crap isnt being aggressive, its just bad play. When someone sticks their chips in the middle, they're generally saying "I have a really strong hand that I'm prepared to play for all my chips". That means you need a hand that you think is stronger than most of their range to call.
I've read so many times that being aggressive with air from the Button or the CO is the way to go in these things
I doubt you've read that many times if at all, but obviously thats how you've interpreted it. How aggressive with how wide a range of hands depends on a lot of factors, but the times you put pressure on with ATC are the exceptions. Those exceptions only happen when you or your opponent have less than 10BBs in their stack. Even then, its often much lower than that before you get to truly ATC. In the majority of cases, its the right thing to fold the very worst hands, moving in (or calling) with those are your very last option.

to add further input on what bjsaust said, you do want to be aggressive, but you want to do it with cards that are easier to make hands with post flop.

For example, let's say you raise pre-flop on the CO with , the button and the BB call. The flop hits with and the BB leads out. You now have to fold because you have no idea if your bottom pair is good and the CO is still left to act.

Now lets assume the same situation only you have . You actually have a better situation here than you did before even though you don't have a pair at this point.

Lets assume that the CO called you with and the BB has . How are you feeling about your hand now?

Would you be surprised if I told you that you have just under a 51% chance of winning this hand? However, with your 83 hand you would only have a 19% chance of winning the hand.

    Does that help?

so what's my "range" of stealing hands? Certainly not ATs+ and JJ+?
