I dont hate the call pre, with position and multiple limpers already in, however you're really only playing this to hit huge on the flop, which you didnt. The fold comes on the flop. Turn call is terrible, river bluff is ok since that weak bet generally means he's very concerned that both straight and flush possibilities hit and your line suggests one of them.

those bets were just so amazingly weak, I figgured if the turn fire managed to get us heads up, then the bluff would work.

why is the are the flop and turn calls terrible? trip 5's and two pair probably win, and i only need to get 8-1 on 210 chips to break even over time.

Bye the way, won this sng also.

I also figgured out why raising from the button with garbage is a leak. Ideally he folds, a fold to a re-raise is still good poker. But if he calls, and we go to the flop... I'm in a lot of trouble... something that hadn't happened too often.
I still think it's profitable to come after the blinds at 75/150 with garbage, but I want to pick my spots a little better I think.

Just fold. Either Pf or on the flop. The fact that you won the SNG should mean nothing. Learning to not be results orientated is very hard, yet exteremely important.

Because we care about our stack and arent prepared to call it off on longshots, even if we think we have odds.

Definately look for spots to raise with garbage hands, its very situation dependant.

I insta-fold this at all stakes, most/all blind levels and positions. 53s is trash at the moment. That said, I don't call that flop. And that turn call was very weak. The river r-raise...ehh...why not?

This early in a SNG, this kind of play is not necessary. TIGHT is RIGHT at these blind levels.
