    Default JQ in the BB.

This is a Stars $3.40. Should I have bet more on the flop? Both opps had called big bets with draws before though so I thought 300 would be as good as 400 or 500. I have to check the turn don't I?

Flop seems fine. Def check/fold turn imo

I agree, and if the turn is checked around I am only calling a very small bet on the river unless we spike a Q or J.

how small is small enough for you, Taipan; what percentage of the pot?

20-25% of the pot or less I'd say - if they have a straight already you only have 4 outs to improve, but there's some chance you still have the best hand and there are some implied odds on the river if you fill up and one of them has a straight.
