    Default LC-Beat or Brag?

So last month i made my laid off thread.
Well i was only laid off until like Jan 12.
For January I've made about $1200 , of which i was only playing full time 12 days.
This is the same amount i would make at my awful (ex) job in a month.
So today when they gave me my 10 minute break , something came over me and i decided im done. I walked out.
    Beat or brag?
I plan on playing 2k minimum games a month.
Once i get my second monitor im aiming more for 2500+.
I have moved up to the 16s , so even at a measly 7% ROI for 2000 games i would make nearly double what i would at work.
I'm not sure if this was the right move but i really felt like working this dead end job was interfering with my poker dream because a 7 hour day @ this place feels more like a 12 hour day and after work I am so miserable and exhausted it's hard to even get in 2 sets.
I just hope i made the right decision.

I have no right to say your decision was right or wrong; none of us can tell you that. But I can wish you the best. Good luck!

Yeah, good luck with the poker. It's no good staying at a job you hate if it's making you miserable. At least you're giving it a go, you can always get another job if things don't work out in the future. Or you can retire very rich.

Hmm, I'm not sure about wages in the US, but it seems to me that $1200 would be pretty low paid, meaning its the kind of work you can probably pick back up again if things dont work out with the poker.

Good luck to you. Just remember to keep your head right, you cant afford to tilt off buyins because you're playing when you shouldnt.
Just dipping my toes back in.

ye it was like $9.75/hr getting rougly 35 hours/week average. After taxes and whatever other bs they take out it came to about 1200/month.

    Good luck detriot.

Just do us all a favor and scrimp, save, and hustle until your BR is enough to live off of for a few months in "tighten up the belt mode" Then start livin like a balla.
The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes

Good luck dude. Im sure you could make more than $9.75/hour 12 tabling the 6.50s yet alone at the 16s.

I don't know you, your job, your life or anything concerning you.

However, having the nerve to walk out, on the spot, is a tremendous ability/gift/talent. Too many are scared and put up with crap.

As per my motto: Every once in a while say "what the fuck?". "What the fuck?" gives you freedom. Freedom brings you opportunity. And opportunity makes your future.

    You've just said "WTF?!" congrats.
You got yoru freedom. And your (current) opportunity is to go pro.
Whatever happens, you've just created a path to a better fortune.

And that's the best chance/start you can ever give yourself.

Even if you go back to work, regret keaving, as long as you maintain that ability to say "WT?!" then you'll always make the best life possible.
