I'm by no means an expert on 45 mans so take this with a pinch of salt and hopefully someone far more experienced will pipe up, but having played a few hundred $3.25 45 mans to a profit the old adage of tight is right usually works early, abuse the bubble, abuse the blinds, win races.
I'll tend to also overbet my big hands early, never play a strong holding slowly as you'll get paid whatever. I've seen some atrocious calls in them so if you get AKs don't be afraid to just shove it, some clown will call with A4o.
If you accumulate a stack early look after it but don't sit back, keep attacking, pick the right spots. If you can get a stack with 2 tables left your really in a position to abuse the bubble and go to the final table with a stack of around 10,000 or more. From then on it's pretty much a crapshoot and I'm pushing wide range, pick up on the good players because they will be doing likewise, call them down light - don't be afraid of coming 8th etc etc. Basically agrression pays - note which players are playing to cash and abuse the heck out of them unless of course you want to fold to cash.
