check behind right let him hit an over card? basic right?

my read is that he is tight and weak. only seen him showdown premiums. not likely he has J9. maybe he gets desperate and thinks his A high is good and shoves turn?

Nobody cares about J9, it's all about his range and whether a turn card is more likely to get him to improve / take a stab or be a card that scares him away. What hands do you think he's calling pre-flop with?

stop playing your cards and start playing your opps.

What hands is he calling with pre and what will he do if you c-bet here? Unless he is capable of c/raising w/air the safe bet is to check behind here. But no matter what you have to bet the turn.

so his range would be 99+/ AJ+.

he's definetly not c/r with air.. not this guy.

    right.

    not likely he has J9.
so it sounds like you guys are saying to check behind hoping an over card will come that improves his hand. that's probably the standard play... and the best to get the most value here.

    yup.

you need to play your opp.

Against a player who raises weakness at every opportunity, this would be a great flop to weak lead. Against this player, it looks like standardness is the way to go.
