A couple *more* hands from $4/180 land

Early on in the tourney. I'm totally lost on this hand, but I think I played it okay. I think the villain might be betting a ten here perhaps? No action on that flop made me think the ace might not be out there, but.... eh? No reads on villain, BTW.

The weakish bet on the flop just didn't convince me villain had anything spectacular. I should've been more aggressive on this one, I think. Got moved to a new table, so no reads on villain. Calling an AI for all of my chips is a no-no without the nuts or close to it, but I'm just not sure what else I could've done here. Thoughts?

1: I'd just give up, you have the best hand occasionally but not often enough to call him down.

2: Really bad call pre-flop vs. an early position raise, but once you flop top pair with that short of a stack I wouldn't fold. Calling him down is OK.

Stop thinking like this it's not a cash game. In tournaments your stack gets short and you have to gamble otherwise you'll get run over and be a losing player. Calling pre-flop with any junk but always folding it when someone puts pressure on them on the flop and the turn, is not good poker.

you gotta raise those jacks up to like 150+ in the first 2 levels. AK AQ JJ+... don't mess around standard raising or the whole entire table calls you... hell... half the time you still get 4 callers even if you raise to 180 with a hand like AK/AQ etc.

as played... fold. 4.40 players fall in love with any junk ace.

all in or fold. in a $4.40, with yer stack, at 100/200, i'm likely shoving over all in unless MP1 is really, really tight. don't just call with this. never call behind someone with AJ unless you have seen them often raising light in early position... then just re-raise them and see what happens... and if you think Mp1 is raising light here... then just ship it in. once you flop yer ace... never ever fold with yer stack.

Yeah, I winced after making that call and I knew it was bad the second I did it. Thanks for the help guys!
