Hello, and welcome to a PP. I call and let him get me AI on an A or K flop.

Hmm, as I see it there are two options, either call and get it AI on an A/K flop or just shove over now. I think I tend to flat call here and see a flop since bad players can't lay down small pocket pairs in this spot and you don't have enough overlay to flip.

Not so sure about flat calling 15% of my stack and folding 2/3rds of the flops. I also feel like pushing has no fold equity (im pretty sure this guy was a donk)

Think of it as calling 15% with a 1/3 chance of doubling your stack. Even in a chip conservation game style, thats nice odds.

I think shoving preflop relies on opp folding pocket pairs at least some of the time, or if he's not going to fold then his range needs to be heavily weighted towards Ax/Kx/two broadway-type hands.

I suppose the other option is to re-raise to 500, get called and open shove the flop whatever comes, but that strikes me as a high variance play against a player like this.
