    Default $4/180 AQs final table

    First final table in awhile!

This particular hand came up and I'm not sure if my overshove was good. However, the villain has been a complete luck box all night long and he generally calls with flat-out crap. He's called draws with bad odds all the way to the river a few times. He has a very wide range and I think my hand is good here. If he calls and I win, I become chip leader. Thoughts?

the problem is you decsribe a calling station, then you proceed to try and bluff him. It isn't 'bad' since you have a huge hand but I don't think it's optimal. I'd probably just call since it sounds like you'll get paid off if you hit anything.

But, if you're raising just make it 8k or so and go from there, your play says "DRAWING PLEASE FOLD". If he calls, usually you will get a free card on river if you want it.

If he shoves over flop you call anyway and haven't lost much/anything since his range to call your shove here is either the same or tighter than his range to shove over a standard bet.

Your play helps him fold the hands you don't mind him playing (PPs, 5x) and almost certainly folds hands you want him to play (worse FDs, air) and never folds anything that has you beat. It may be that your hand is good but this can't be the best way to get value if it is.

I don't think you need more input, just re-reads Doctor McBoy's post.
