Rodolphe, my hh exchange buddy commented this on the hand when he reviewed it:
"It's expensive for set mining, I would fold.
It's a very very good flop to take a stab, I will always bet. You make him fold a tons of hands (QQ-44, AQ,AJ, ...)."

I think calling for set value preflop is ok, because we have to call 80, to win 140+1460=1600, so we have to call 1/20th - 5% of what we can win. I do think we have a good chance to win his stack if we hit, since he raise OOP over a limp. I think it might be a bit marginal to call preflop, but it’s oke.

I did not even think about betting the flop, since I pretty much played it for just set value. But should we bet this flop? Do we really fold all those pairs (often)?

I did not have reads/stats just yet.

I think you played the hand fine preflop, you have implied odds to hit your set. Once you call the preflop raise, then no set = no bet. If he checks the turn I might take a stab depending on what comes.
