    I think I c/c river.

Remember, its only worth value betting river if more worse hands will call than better hands. That third heart isnt only a scarecard for you, its a scarecard for everyone else also. You're not getting called by MP or some kind of PP very often here, but if you check and show weakness then a weaker hand may turn their hand into a bluff.

I am torn on the c/c line because it screams - "I am now afraid of a flush" and then becomes a question of how much of a bet you will call.

I c/c because it sucks to get raised here.

Thats pretty much the point of the c/c line. By appearing weak you may induce a bluff, but by betting we appear strong and should only be called by other strong hands. Other than a rediculous overbet like a push I probably call most bets here. Something like potsized or greater could well be more likely to be a bluff than value. With our b/c line we ended up putting in 380 (when the pot started at 260) and I think its less likely to be a bluff here. I dont like b/f because...well, we have a set!

I think you shouldn't have posted what happened at the river

I think any queen or any ace calls this turn bet at 5.50 and would probably call this river too.. So no problem with betting.. Raise means he probably has a flush but it's not so big so no problem with calling too..

    nh IMO

I like c/c now too, but somehow I think we lose value to two pairs/Arag/Qx.

Anyway villain showed up with 54o LoL.

Its probably close, and posting the river action could be influencing thoughts. I deliberately used a lot of 'I thinks' and such because that would be my preference, and my thinking, but I can see valid arguments for playing other ways.

I think I have a slight preference for leading the river; I think that it is a mistake to assume that Villain always has a flush or something else that has us beat in this spot. I think we lose value by check/calling because a) we shouldn't assume that Villain wouldn't check behind with Ax-type hands for a cheap showdown and b) would bluff the river with something we beat.

I assume we're ahead a lot, the question is whether we get called enough by worse, like I say that heart is a scare card for our opps too, although at a 5.50 they may not put us at semi-bluffing a draw.
