Default I need help when I have more than 10bb

I'm finding that I have a lot of trouble knowing what to shove when I have 12-16BB left. I don't think I can run hands like this through the wiz, so I need a way to figure this kind of stuff out. Any help?

You can analyze them the push/fold ones in SNG wizard and you can post some here.

The wiz will tell me when I need to push with more than 10bb?

Well it tells you what you CAN push.
Whether that is optimal is another thing.

you should have enough left to bet/fold bad hands and bet/call good ones. If neither one seems good, open folding is fine.

For example, with a 1500 stack, you may want to raise JTs from the BU at 25/50 and open shove it at 100/200, but fold it at 50/100.

This is all clearly table dependent, if 3 people are calling standard raises on average you might open shove (or at least raise enough to commit) more quality hands, esp 88-TT.

The only spots I would be shoving here would be BU or SB when folded to and you are a clear favorite but your hand is difficult to play in a raised pot if you get called, or it's just good enough to call a shove over but you'll always be behind opps range - mostly this would be weak Axs and small PPs.

Say you have A5o in the SB, 1400 effective stacks, 50/100. If you open shove, you eliminate most/all of the range you're OK showing down against, which is bad, BUT you may fold out a lot of hands that would have called your raise and outplayed you on the flop or that would have shoved over, putting you in a spot where you're getting about 2/1 and either have to make a crappy call or a crappy fold. You'll be about a 2/1 dog and so either option is 0 EV.

This is not to say shoving is the best play, limping may be good, with a plan to move in over a raise or fold depending on opp, but shoving is probably better than raising. If you're on the button you have 'position' but with one bet left that isn't so great since you can be stop n go'd and people will often check big hands since they are committed if they make TP anyway and don't care about protecting it.

you can arrange sngwiz to accept pushes with 12 BB in the options..
