Default What did you accomplish in February.

February has been a good month for me and SNGs. I still have a few more to play, but in most of the world it is already March. So what did you accomplish in February, and what would you like to accomplish in March. I'll post back my own results tomorrow when it is actually March here in the US.

I managed to lose a bit lol...well, not "Lose"...but run bad and withdraw before it got too bad.

In all, I turned the $125 I made from grinding 1.25s last month into $340ish this month by grinding 5.50s. THEN, variance snatched me back down to $230ish before I withdrew most of it...Now I'm not playing very much and just taking a breather before I start going high volume again.

Oh and for March, well, I don't know what will come of it. I may start playing again, or I may not this month. I planned on trying to get me a silver or gold star this month before variance said..."NO No no no NO! lol

    Congrats on your month btw

I made about 2.5k in February and moved up in stakes from 6.50 to $16, $27, and $38.

For March I'm going to up my output and I'm aiming for $7k.

I made about $280 in 1382 SNGs in February and moved down in stakes from $27, $16 to $6.5.

For March I am aiming to improve, since money goals are stupid.
I am just another learning player, so read my comments (very) open minded.

I managed to lose my entire low $$ bankroll and re-up, as well as earn a fish designation on Sharkscope. But I'm learning.

dude your a true grinder and i actually feel bad for you. Honestly i MIGHT even consider coaching/helping you out. Shoot me a pm with your lifetime results at each stake, current bankroll, and overall game theory and we can talk. I dont really get to play much since i have a "real" job and all no so i would prob get some sort of gratification in helping others out.

-played a whole bunch of $12 180's this week to try to get the bonus for Stars TLB, instead I dropped 60 buyins and made two measly final tables out of like 100 played, and obv didn't even get the bonus

    -had my first 10K+ day

-lost money on the month if you don't count that one day, but if you do count it it was one of my best months yet, MTT variance is so ridiculous

I grinded cash game on Party Poker for 12k hands, starting at NL10 and then switched to NL25. Profit of 420$.
Just came back to SNGs and played about 20 of them, my first 16$ turbos on Stars. Breaking even for now but learning and getting used to turbos.
Goals for March: keep playing the 16$, studying with SNG Wizard and find a way to buy "Kill Everyone" in Sweden . Maybe add more tables as I only play 2 tables at a time.

Set a goal to average 4 sng's per day and I did. Not much for some people but this was the most sng's I've played in any month. Ran like crap at $33s but the $22s made up for it

    81 $33s at 7% ROI, +$189

    34 $22s at 58% ROI, +$440

    total: 18% ROI +$629

mattiesmat is a very solid player, the reality is that turbo sng variance can cause months like that one.

2000 $16s played. Like $1250 profit and $325 FPP value.
Pretty depressing month. Made about $900 the first week and had my goals set high than wham 1.5k game breakeven stretch. Last week i was down 40 buyins at one point . Next month shall be better i assume.

    March Goals
    2000 $16s

Quit letting downswings/bad runs affect me emotionally as much as they did.
Decide a new game i want to practice and take every sunday out to play it. (CASH/MTT/HU POKER). I'm thinking i wanna play HUSNG's but i have a feeling I'll just be a huge donator.
    Post more here.

After years of trying I deposited money into FTP.. I deposited 150 dollars, started playing 5.50s and when I reached 330 dollars I started playing 11s.. Now my BR is up to 520 with 15 dollars bonus cleared (135 to go)..

In March I wanna play at least one sng everyday to qualify for the one-a-day freeroll promotion by ftp.. Hopefully continue my steady increase with strict BR management.. Also I wanna start multi-tabling but I'm really scared.. I can only play two tables at once and I stagger them by 30 minutes..

I want to finish my GD operation and prove to myself that I can beat $22's and get a plus winning % there before moving up to $33's.
  19. #19
    I lost money.
  20. #20
I won some on SNGs - approximately $150 over a small sample perhaps 50 sngs at the 11s and 6.50 18 mans.

Then donked three quarters off in Ring games

I've had a complete break for the last week, which has been nice, I've not even thought about poker, hardly looked at the forum, pondered hands etc . . and although I'm itching to get back I want to devote more time to the family when I have time away from work, so I'll be keeping to low volume in March.

Hit 4 figures ($1k) for the first time ever with results coming mainly from SnGs, and managed to finish the month by dropping 7 buyins at 25NL cash.

Goals for March are to develop my cash game and finish up for the month. I dont care if its $1, I just want to have a +ve month.
Just dipping my toes back in.

lol is this a joke? Ive played about 30k turbos i know the ins and outs. I never said he wasnt solid, but obv he has hit a wall.

I ran like shit in february, and let the variance affect my playing. My goal for march is to run good, and even if I dont, dont let it get me down, and affect my play.

Nope, you can have a 10% ROI over your sample and still have a run like this.

February was probably my worst month in poker.
I dropped back down to the 6.50s from the 16s after a mild downswing at the end of Januray, which was made worse by cashing out a lot of my roll.
Started 16-20 tabling with moderate success, but the swings got too sick as it was easy to have 10BI downswings in one set. Tilted like a monkey and broke a load of shit.
    Goals for march:
    2k SNGS
move up to 16s again by the end of March
not get too emotionally affected by short term results
Not go out every weekend so I dont miss out on shit loads of EV.
  26. #26
I play mostly 5-table SNGs on PS, at the $3.25 level at the moment, moving up to $6.50s soon. (bankroll only $500 atm)

Just got back into the SNG swing February 18.. finished up $151.92 for the month, 67%ROI.
