Default omg i'm seriously considering folding KK preflop

UTG is pablostar a 100nl/200nl super nit who runs like 12/5 over a medium sample. other villain is unknown. I ran my timebank down and was seriously 1 sec from folding.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (4 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($120)
    UTG ($71.25)
    Button ($130.15)
    SB ($86.50)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, K.
UTG raises to $5, Button calls $5, SB calls $4.50, Hero raises to $25, UTG raises to $45, Button folds, SB raises to $87, Hero raises to $120, UTG calls $26.25 (All-In).

    Flop: ($218.75) J, T, 2 (3 players, 1 all-in)

    Turn: ($218.75) 6 (3 players, 1 all-in)

    River: ($218.75) 7 (3 players, 1 all-in)

    Final Pot: $283.25

    what is a "medium sample"?

also having the small blind all in helps because you are pretty much always beating him. and utg is only a 70 stack.

I have 400 hands on him.

    Pablo def has aces here.

But i have kings, and therefore cannot fold preflop.

its really not a big deal like everyone makes it out to be. i mean you're not going to be able to do it at 100bb vs a very aggressive player, but if u think a nit's range is 90% AA here, then fold. that's really all there is to it.

your getting better than 3:1 on the call aren't you? Plus you're effectively getting nearly 4:1 if you discount the overlay from SB, since it's only 45$ to match UTGs raise, which is the player likely to have AA. (I'd imagine you're usually ahead of SB here).

I don't see how this is a terribly bad call even if he shows up with AA 100% of the time. You still got your 17% to win outright or whatever, plus you probably usually win the 32$ side pot... weeeeeee (Pretty significant since its only 62$ to call here).

It might be marginally -eV if UTG always 100% of the time has AA.

sure seems like Aces. fold seems like a good play given your read. i still dont think i could do it in the heat of the action though.

I'm getting closer to doing this every day. I've had KK vs. AA three times in the last few weeks and two of those times I had serious warning bells going off. The only time I didn't was against a short stack who didn't have enough money to set them off. (Also had QQ vs. KK in the same stretch, and also doubled someone up on it.) I've never done it yet and don't plan to make a habit of it, but I can see myself folding kings in one of these hands where me and a villainous nit both have 100 BBs and it goes back and forth a few times pre-flop. It will happen some day.

well the way the hand went pre-flop i guess you can't really fold. if it were something else like a 4bet shove from super nit then i'd fold without thinking twice. EDIT: that is if he had 100bb's. he's shorter so it makes it tougher.

    snap fold vs. pablostar

I called cause I don't have a fold button and he had QQ. I wasn't sold on the call but I figured with all the dead money from the small blind it couldn't be too terrible of a call.

I really don't think you can fold this at all. Your hand looks like SUCH a squeeze hand trying to steal the dead money that even a nit might think you're squeezing and 4-bet you with AQs/AKs/JJ/QQ or something.

I'd say if this was just UTG raised, everyone folds, and you 3-bet and THEN he 4-bet you his range would be a lot narrower. But as played, you gotta stick it in.
