UTG limps. I make it 5$. Villain on button calls. Blinds fold.

K22 flop with 2 spades. I have none. I bet 8, villain thinks and calls.

turn is 9 of spades, I bet 19 into 25-26 (mistake?). He instashoves for +/-60 more. I ....

why are you betting $5 into $12.50 on the flop? thats just gross. bet like $9 and get money in while you have the best hand and charge him for his draw. as played just b/f the turn most likely.

oh sorry, it was 8$ flopbet. 5$ was preflop. as stated the pot after flop was 26

i was thinking a flush wouldn't be in such a hurry to get the money in since I bet preflop/flop/turn.

ok, here's how i think about this:

most people raise fd's on flop, he didn't. then when flush hits i bet almost 20 and he pushes for 80 which a rather big raise. if I have a flush, i dont want villain too fold worse hands here. he has a pot size bet left which is perfect for shoving river.

then again a weaker hand, like a king with 1 flushcard or a 2 might do this, because you have some fold equity left with the rather large raise

Although a smaller fush (like T-high or something might play it this way) the bet size looks to me as if he wants me to fold and not to call. then again i've got a bluffcatcher here and cant call

that was my thinking, might be off though. interested in hearing about it.
