your links must be wrong. Those links all direct to posts located in FTRs trash bin. Theyre all spam posts. Its showing "does not exist" because you need to be a moderator to see the trash bin.

I understand they must be wrong but how does that happen? its pretty frequent and very frustrating.

ah...when a spammer posts in an existing thread in a topic you're watching and a mod deletes it, then all you're gonna get is the 'does not exist' message.

I just use the 'view posts since last visit function' and avoid getting a bunch of crap in my inbox.

when someone spams in a thread that you've posted in before, you will receive an email about it. If a moderator splits the spam and bins the post, it will go to the recycle bin and won't be viewable anymore. The link in your email won't work anymore because the mod will have moved the post to a different place.

ok, so after I view it and it gives me the "this post no longer exists message" then when a legit post is posted , I will get a new email telling me there was a new post?


I like the email, because I like to follow certain threads. And my inbox is usually only filled with FTR notices, so its not bad.
