    Default 6 max difficulties

Hey all. Im a relatively new member in these forums...and this is my first significant post. Ok..heres my poker story so far.
I picked up the game halfway through last year and have not stoppped playing /learning and practising. I started by playing live 70 people freeroll tourneys in the pubs in my local area and from there discovered online poker. Blah blah blah..long story short....i made a deposit of a 100 bucks and have been playing for a month on Full Tilt.

I seem to be making profits at fullring, but cant make any head way in 6 max(break even). Im not sure what im doing wrong, I looked at my stats, on pt....and i dont see nething of real significance, so i was hoping u guys could help me out and maybe give me a few pointers.. any help would be much appreciated. (I prefer 6 max to fullring, hence the reason i wanna learn it.)

hmm...i dont know how to post pictures...so ill just type it out
    NL .10 : 14000 hands. 21/13.5 amt won, $248.20
    NL .10 (6 max): 13000hands 23/16 amt won, $15

not sure if this helps much...but yeh..any help would be swell.

That isn't very much information to go by, but you appear to be limping a little bit too much. Most of the time, when it's folded to you preflop, either raise or fold.

Also, keep in mind that 13k hands is a small sample. You could simply be running bad at 6-max, or running hot at full ring. Your results are not necessarily indicative of your true winrate.

<SaltLick> are you seriously losing to a blind guy

    +1

Also, I'd like to see the aggression factor stat for both. 6max is a more aggressive game, whereas a weak-tight postflop play isn't necessarily spewy at FR. At 6max, passive players get run off too many hands.

You can't wait for big hands to make money in 6-max like you would in FR. If you haven't changed that yet, it's likely that's why you're not doing well.

Position stats now! Press Ctrl + PrintScreen in PT and then paste it into paint to take screenshots.

I' am usually raising or folding. The only hands i limp with are low pp's up front, Just because...i find that if im raising pp's it's almost always gonna turn into a bluff. I limp sc's when other people have limped in front of me...
A problem i have with 6 max..is 3 betting. When i do it, i kind of feel lost. Mainly when i 3 bet with something like AK/Aqs oop and the board doesnt cooperate. I'll put ina c'bet, only to be raised or called by some unknown...then ill have to give up by the turn.

I thought you said 130k hands, not 13k. Too small of a sample size to get concerned over your game. Start posting hands you don't think you played right. Even the simplest "do I c-bet here?" type hands.

When I'm playing against you, I consider 2ish AF's "honest." An honest opponent bets good hands and folds bad ones.

I would put any AF between 1.8 and 2.3 in the honest group, and anything between 1.6 and 2.8 into the "almost honest" group.

Is honest bad? Yes and no. I'm not bluffing them too often, but I am cbetting a lot. They'll fold when they miss. Or when they connect but in a medium strength way. So an honest opponent is good for me. I rarely make a big mistake against them, and they are pretty likely to fold a lot of hands they shouldn't to my agro postflop play.

But...AF like 5+ means the opponent is very dishonest in a bluffy, agro way. Like me. AF's around 3 to 3.5 are hard to play against. They are agro enough to cbetting air a good percentage of the time, but not so often that it's easy to catch them at it.

Just my two cents. I may be full of crap, you know

Your stats seem decent and all, and it IS a small sample size so don't worry. I'm guessing you should probably improve on putting pressure on people and learning to bet/fold more instead of calling down in certain spots.

    and post hands
