Multi-tabling (aside from increasing your hourly rate) makes the game far more exciting IMO because you get to make far more interesting decisions, and see more big hands per hour.
That being said, it does weaken your reads, and you end up playing more in the dark than if you were sitting there getting specific reads on each player.
Because the standard of postflop play is somewhat decent at 100NL, it's hard to make a lot playing only one table, and if you play an impatient uber-lagg style, you're probably spewing. You can't get away too much from a tight strategy, but you could profitably play on the looser end of tight aggressive if your postflop play is good, and you're using those rich reads you get from paying attention (I hear).
I'm a 9-tabling robot though, so I don't have tons of experience with that 
I'm only entertained playing one table when it's live, cause I can spend my time getting body language reads and what not.
