Operation - It's Simple Mathematics
Hi guys, just a quick post to re-introduce myself and start my first official "operation".
This sit 'n' go graph pretty much sums up my current poker standings.

250 games before I started 'getting' it. Then another 150 games before I realised that i shouldn't try to blaze my own path and instead i should just play good solid TAGG and not lose sight of the basics.
You'll notice a few significant peaks and troughs from 250 onwards. The peaks are where I'm at the good part of the newbie circle of death. The troughs are where I'm at the BAD part of the newbie circle of death. Right now i'm at the good part of the circle of death, after just narrowly avoiding a very fast decline. These peaks and troughs I'm afraid, would be fairly similar if i had a graph of my cash game results.
SO....now.
I just finished an 8 buyin up session at $10NL, which will be my home for at least another couple of months. My winnings in the last month now are about $350, so i'm gonna count that as my bankroll, and withdraw the rest for safe-keeping.
So, I'm actually quite good at maths, (i'm studying to be a maths teacher) and this game is all about maths. I am determined to be excellent at this game.
So, the plan is to turn my $350 bankroll into $1000. I'll do this at 10NL, and at $4.40 180 man sit 'n' go's when i have the time to invest in them.
Things I know i must remember
1. ABC poker wins money
2. Position is everything
3. Quit the session when you know you should.
4. Make friends with variance.
I will post as often as I can and keep you all up-to-date with my progress. As is so often the case with these things, this will be more for my own benefit than anyone else's, but please come in and comment when you feel like it.
