    Default Auto-shove??

    CO ($24.85)

Hero raises to $0.2, 6 folds, SB calls $0.18, BB raises to $0.95, Hero raises to $2.1, SB folds, BB raises to $5.83, Hero ???

Normally I'd be shoving KK pre-flop with a fist pump and a "go you good thing!"

But here villain was 18/0 after about 40 hands, so his 3-bet put me on notice that he had a big hand. I'm thinking probably JJ+ or AK, nothing more. I'm happy with my KK against that range and push it up again, and he 5-bets me!!

So now I'm thinking AA/KK, thats it. And since I have KK, the chances of him having the other two kings are very small, so I'm putting him squarely on AA almost 90% of the time (because there's eight possible combinations of AA he could have but only one of KK). And as the chances of my KK outdrawing AA are pretty slim (<20% I think), if I've read it right I'm a huge dog.

Then again, I'm holding the second nuts. Could anyone lay down KK here, or is it still an auto-shove?

yeah, just ship, we've all seen even super nits do this with AK and JJ/QQ before. Trying to hero fold at nanostakes just isn't worth it in the long run. If he has AA get stacked and reload.

Everyone is saying ship it, which doesn't surprise me at all, but I'm interested in the reasons why.

Is it just because its nanostakes, and people do strange things there? Does that mean that if this was 1000NL, I should look at it completely differently?

If not, is my read (that he is on AA about 90% of the time) just too narrow? Maybe thats a consequence of it being nanostakes - you just can't put non-rational players on hands that precisely.

Or is it just the principle of the thing - you simply don't lay down KK preflop EVER?

By the way, the other piece of info I have is that I saw this villain, in position, flat call a standard 4xBB raise pre flop with QQ. The reason I didn't mention it before is that it was a few hands AFTER this, so not relevant to how I should have approached it (but interesting to note). Would that change anything if known beforehand?

Sorry to belabour the point, but I'm interested in this and I think it helps me to understand it better.

    Cheers!

40 hands tells you he doesn't raise marginals, but what does it tell you about his stack off range at 41 hands? Is it possible he gets it in with JJ+ and AK? Is it possible that at 41 hands he hasn't had any of these?

    No read= Shove.

Take more notes. These Nit's ,I find, require more notes not less. They have more reasons for what they do, but not necessarily good reasons. I have notes on guys that won't open raise AQs but will 3 bet shove 99.
