    Default Oh, woe is me

Wow I just lost 4.5 BI's over 4k hands, mostly through stuff like this where villain plays bad, then a card hits that helps me but helps him more. Villain in this hand was 46/17/1

    A) Was I right to call this, and B)If we're far ahead of a sensible player's range, but a loose/passive donator starts betting strong, do we just assume he has the nuts and fold? Or go ahead and stack off?

K this one I think was tiltly I should have folded to his shove I think. Villain is an 11/7/3 reg and basically never ever has 22 or 8x here.

Both look fine imo. Hand 1 villain is bad enough to have aces up and treat it like the nuts here. Hand 2 this is AA a lot but also QQ/JJ so it's fine without better reads. I probs just call his flop donkbet though.

Its expensive to pick a fight with TPTK-like hands when a truly passive guy suddenly goes nuts.

Hand 1 looks fine tho, as badgers says, he´s overplaying Aces up everytime.

Folding hand 2 would prolly be a mistake. If he 4bet pre we´d stack off anyway, why fold now when his range is more weightened towards QQ/JJ given his flat pre?

See to me, in hand 1, I check the flop as V will play any ace, and an AF of 1 with a vpip of 47 is somewhat aggessive, so we A) keep the pot small and B) [scared to say this with the recent posts ] see where we're at. I see V betting a TP crap kicker here with those stats. Am I thinking to simple minded here? Please correct me if I'm wrong

Both are played fine. Except for maybe hand 2 where it's obvious villain has AA.

I'm talking less TPTK and more 'sets on a board where the only hand that beats us is a gapper that called a bet or two with a gutshot and now villain is going crazy'. Because gappers are always in a loose/passive's range, and flat calling with only 4 outs is always a weapon in his arsenal.

Probably I'm just upset cuz I got hit with a cooler like this every 600 hands or so.

Nice to know everyone's agreeing (or almost agreeing) with my plays though.
