    This opponent was just really terrible and picked bad spots for aggression.

    I don't know the entire scenario but, just based on that, it's so hard for the guy to have a huge hand on this board. A king is such a small % of his range and he almost never has a 4, thus the majority of the time he is either flat out bluffing or has a had like 77. I don't know stack sizes but I'm thinking that they were such that just calling the 3-bet with a hand such as 77 would be horrible and pushing would turn it into a bluff.

    Against a polarized range heavily weighted towards bluffs the min 3-bet accomplishes the same as a larger one. Assuming what I think stack sizes were around at this point, villain would have to be pretty sick to re-bluff over the top.
