    Default wtf overbet

    I'm lost on this one.

I know, I know, checking the flop is bad. I'm trying to shake off some rust believe me.

Am I beat here 100% of the time? Or is this a situation where my hand is face up and he knows that I can't call this? Either way it's a fold, yes?

I'm running 19/17 on this particular table, and playing solid (and probably uncreative) poker. I've got my villian at 33/10 over 67 hands (small sample) but he hasn't shown down anything yet. I've not seen him do anything like this on the river before...

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    SB ($106.85)
    BB ($100)
    UTG ($214.30)
    MP ($51.35)
    CO ($201.05)
    Hero ($102.15)

Preflop: Hero is Button with K, A.
2 folds, CO raises to $3, Hero raises to $10, 2 folds, CO calls $7.

    Flop: ($21.50) T, 7, 5 (2 players)
    CO checks, Hero checks.

    Turn: ($21.50) A (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $13, CO calls $13.

    River: ($47.50) 2 (2 players)
    CO bets $178.05 (All-In), Hero ???

Look at your line. Easy fold.

Hmm, yeah guess it's a fold. Although, he might think that you bet some mediocre hand on the turn since he's been pretty weak, checking 2 streets, and that you most likely can't call that, so he's trying to push you off it.
Or maybe he would've raised the turn then?

although it's strange that he doesn't c/r us on river with a huge hand, given our line

but he seems dumb and nitty (pfr 10) so I give it to him
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

are we figuring that villain thinks we have an Ace, and that we arent going to fold it?

Thanks guys. I folded, but I just wanted to make sure that was correct because it seemed batshit weird to me at the time and still does.

The river card changed nothing. If he had something strong then why not 1) check-raise me, 2) lead the river for value, or 3) check-raise the river? Putting that much in the pot (I have $80 behind) will scare just about everything off.

I've been getting kicked around my last 500 hands or so, and that's another reason for this thread. I've been making calls at the wrong time and (possibly) laying down winners at other times...The rust from not playing for a while is showing, but I'm going to get through it.

not betting flop i think is obv a mistake but ... i dont necessarily think this is a fold... its like ... think about what he had to do to get to the river w/ a hand that beat u ... he had to check two streets to you with a flopped set ... to open jam the river? ... wouldnt he usually just checkraise the turn? its not like we can think that he thought we checked AK on the flop and that we would think a checkraise on the turn looked too transparent and that an open shove on the river would get called more often.

thats definitely not what he was thinking .. so its either that or he called the turn w/ 22 and rivered a set? .... still why open shove? i dunno .. i wouldnt be able to fold this given i dont see what he would get to the river that would do this.

not saying a call is correct, just saying i think i def wouldnt fault it here, his line just looks too fishy.
