Default Two $3.40 Turbos for review

Ok, I'll post up the notes and a few comments I had taken down on the tables to help out when reviewing. I feel like my early game is fairly solid, but later on I'm getting way too aggressive and making -EV pushes even though Villans are usually calling insanely tight ranges on the bubble. Feel free to comment on my notes and where I'm making the wrong assumptions as well.

Figured I may as well post my stats up till now as well:
    29 games (2-3 tabling)
    48.28% ITM
    55.17% ROI

    1st place - http://www.flopturnriver.com/Online-...ment-3673.html
The first hand I accidentally made it AI instead of just a solid pot sized bet, so ignore that for your comments, lol.

    Gyp: TIGHT
Steal his blinds all day, reraise = big hand

    Aulak: VERY TIGHT

    dewinther: TIGHT PASSIVE
Flat calls with 55 from EP at L5 and 5k chips. Checks to river with no set.

    hansielos: donk
    calling station
Calls off half his stack PF with A6s at L2 and M30.

ALLinPOKERAA: Gets involved in too many pots.
Huge playing range, limps weak hands a lot

    3rd place - http://www.flopturnriver.com/Online-...ment-3674.html

bablerat: Will lead with a semi-bluff for draws to give himself odds, reraise this.
Will try to steal a pot in position, may fold to reraise.

medsrv: Willing to call a SB AI for his BB with any two broadway. Don't try to steal much.

    horsegoatty: TIGHT PASSIVE

    Extrabus85: Somewhat TIGHT

    mansilla_8: Opens up once ITM
TIGHT PASSIVE the rest of the time
    If he bets, get OUT

I'll give you some feedback. Any hands on I don't comment on work for me.

Hero: raises 400 to 800 <-- You're the big stack on the bubble, just push all in here. They won't call without a great hand.

Overall, you have some leaks that need addressing. 1. Don't limp marginal hands in early position. 2. Don't minraise. 3.Be careful who you're stealing from and pay attention to stack sizes.

However, your push/fold was good at the end, just keep studying and asking questions. Overall, gg, I'll let someone else tackle your 2nd tournament.

Thanks, I really appreciate the feedback.

    1. Thanks for calling me out. I know not to do stuff like that but every now and then I get that sort of "draw cards, ok call" reflex even though I know much better for EP.

    2. I was doing it to try and conserve chips for when the smaller stacks inevitably picked up a hand and went over the top considering they were just fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, AI, but I now realize I was just pricing myself to call them in almost any situation anyways.

    3. I'd like to know which ones you're specifically addressing, as quite a few of them seemed oblivious to their stack sizes and were simply sitting around for great hands. However, I'm sure there were spots were I needed to take into account just HOW small/large one was for my attempted steal, so I will make sure to watch for that in the future.

I'll have a go at the second one (3674). A couple of general comments:

    - If you don't have SNG Wiz, you should get it. There are some shoves that you made here that are pretty thin (and probably negative) from an EV perspective.
    - I really don't like your button minraise with crap move, I think it is a leak. Particularly at $3.40 tourneys, this is going to get called a LOT which is spewing chips - particularly if you c-bet the flop and get called again or raised.
    - I think you're trying to be a little too tricky with big hands (eg. the KK and AQs hands). There's no need to be tricky like this at the $3.40s, just play ABC poker and you'll be fine.

    1. 42o - I really hate raising here. This is just spewing chips at a $3.40 because you're so likely to get called, particularly by the BB. The blinds aren't really worth stealing and your hand is rubbish, I've clicked the autofold button even before I've been dealt these cards!

    2. 54s - guess the limp is OK since you're in the CO and there are three limpers in front.

    A T SB (M = 8.23; c+f+f+f+c+f+F) (between 3 and 4) - could be a shove if you don't have a read that UTG limps monster hands

    5. 97s - I raise the flop, maybe even (shock!) minraise it. You don't really want to give a cheap card here since another spade will either kill you or kill your action. Plus a small raise to maybe 600-750 might cause the big stacked opp to shove over or something. As played, I definitely bet the turn - I want to build a pot here.

    6. KK - I wouldn't minraise. If they'll call 400 they'll call 500-600 and you want to build a pot. As played, sorry to be harsh but the minbet is really bad - you're giving opp correct odds to call you if he has a flush draw. I'd just shove it right here and make it look like YOU'RE bluffing the FD.

    7. 66 - haven't run it, but my guess is this is neutral or slightly -EV as a shove.

    8. AJo - as per 7, although this time my guess is it is slightly +EV.

    9. AJs - this is fine, antes make all the difference.

    10. T8o - I guess this is OK with your pair and flush draw, I actually don't think there's any other way to play it.

    11. A8o - obviously your shove is fine, but make sure to make a note on this guy that he calls SB vs BB shoves pretty wide even with a decent stack remaining.

    13. 54o - I don't like this. Why minraise here? You're offering the BB huge odds to call you. I'd fold this, there will be better spots. As played, if you are going to c-bet then c-bet a little more - make it 1000 to go.

    14. AQs - I don't play it so tricky. You won't like about 2/3 of flops thereby losing a lot of value from your big hand. I just shove back preflop (particularly considering how much you've shoved this tourney).

    15. Q8o - another shove that I suspect is a bit thin from an EV perspective considering stack sizes.

    16. 97o - as per 13, I think this is a leak. Just let it go - there will be better spots later.

    18. J6o - I don't like this shove either with the short stack around. If the big stack calls that's a disaster and shorty is getting almost to the stage where he will start calling you wide.

    22. 74s - as per the other hands, don't minraise. I either shove or fold this (and probably lean towards folding).

    23. K2o - probably neutral to slightly -EV as a shove.

    24. 86o - as per the other minraise hands, I think this is a leak.

    27. 62s - shove is most probably fine, unlucky he had a hand this time.

Thanks for the comments taipan, without a doubt I seem to be falling into the FPS of later limits instead of just sticking to simple ABC. I'll probably read over both sets of comments before I play my next game and really hammer home the basics I need to stick with.
