Been donking around in donkaments the past week and final tabled one today that I'll probably never play again because I'd have to make top 6 for it to be worth my while. But that's neither here nor there.

I rarely play tourneys so if anyone has a few minutes to give me some thoughts about my final table play, I'd appreciate it. The FT seemed really tight, so I tried to take advantage. Only reads from earlier were that flpro is pretty tight and Ganpathy and dani83 appear to have some concept of late-tourney strategy.

Hand 2 - fine or u can raise/call
Hand 3 - fine - but u don't need to raise to 3x pre you can raise anywhere from 5-5.5k and get the same results
Hand 4-6 - fine
Hand 7 - Again, I'd raise less pre
Hand 8 - again, raise less, than ur not getting 2:1 and can fold.
Hand 9 - fold or stop n'go

some of ur raises are really huge preflop with some hands which are only dominated or at max flipping.
this is exemplified by the 1010 hand ur looking really to raise fold or raise call stuff like qj if ur deep. calling a flip is not good for profit as some proportion of the time you wont be flipping.

I fold the 44 UTG and often the QJ unless I have been really tight

last hand is a fold for sure, you have no FE pre or on the flop

You can't get away with open-raising this much in a tournament with 20 BB, unless people are way too passive. When you raise a weak hand like 44 or QJo you have no implied odds this shallow so your raise is basically a pure bluff and raising from UTG with air rarely works often enough to be profitable.

Another thing about shallow stacks is, you don't need to worry about denying people implied odds so you can just raise 2.5x or even less instead of 3x.
