Not sure that I like limping 99 preflop when your stack is less than 20x BB. I would probably make it 200-240 to go and go from there.

As played, I think this is an easy raise. Either make it 700 to go and get the rest in on the turn or just shove over right here. BB could have anything in an unraised pot - flush draws, 8x, maybe even worse. Plus I work on the assumption that any player using the "bet pot" button is a donk.

Raising preflop makes this hand much easier to play postflop

That doesn't make raising the better play though.

Against an unknown I could either call or fold here. Reads are HUGE in spots like this. If you call, you got to figure out if he got there on the turn or not. You're also going to have not not freak out if the turn is Ace through Ten.

If the blinds were 50-100 then I would definitely make it 275 or smth but I thought I could limp here because I was scared raising 99 from UTG..

What is your raising pre range here from UTG?

The problem with limping is that if you get raised (unless it's a donkminraise) you can't call and play for set value so have to fold it.

In your spot, something like 77+, AJ+ with everything else being a fold.

Depends on how agrro the table is, in a 'normal' table 88+, AJ+

As played your hand strength is very disguised. I might shove over right here. He will likely call you down with 8 Gk type hands. A shove here by you looks like a draw alot more than an overpair.
