Overpair against PFR
This was an interesting pot I had today that is a good example of something me and ATOTHEC had the other day. He mentioned that people seem to focus on the big pots that deal with entire stacks, whereas they sometimes ignore the smaller pots, which are arguably more +EV.
In this hand, I'd like to discuss the merits of calling vs raising and which wins us more in the long run.
Villain is a TAG running at 18/14/5 over a good range.

SB ($11.95)
BB ($25)
UTG ($15.20)
MP ($25.15)
CO ($71.25)
Hero ($25)
Preflop: Hero is Button with T , T .
2 folds, CO raises to $1, Hero calls $1, SB calls $0.90, 1 fold.
Flop: ($3.25) 3 , 5 , 6 (3 players)
SB checks, CO bets $2.25, Hero
calls.
Calling is good because we get showdown value and an easy out vs overs that fall on the turn. We also get value from any 2nd barrel on a non-paint card or lower pairs. Villain is very aggressive as well, so we might use this to our advantage.
raises.
This is good because we have a lot of FE as villain is very likely to have missed this flop completely. If we get a call, we can still show down cheaply if villain checks the turn to us, and we can dump easily if we get raised. Though this won't make the most money per hand, I think it's the more +EV play.
