    Default $16/18m - JJ facing RRAI l2

Villain was TAG so far over a small sample, but I did not recognize him as a regular. I sharkscoped him and he was about break even over 1500ish games. What would you do here? What range do you put him on? Do you think he plays QQ+/KK+ this way? How does the shorty affect the situation?

I'm not an expert of +EV situations but in game I fold because I still have a healthy stack.. I don't think you are dominating much hands.. maybe TT..

I see this alot with AK/AQ type hands and mid pocket pairs like 88-JJ. The hand I would be worried about is QQ. I think you would get a re-reaise with AA or KK. Players try to isolate the shorty who is pushing wide, and pick up the dead money. If you had QQ I would definitely call, I think with JJ you are still likely going to be ahead, but more likely taking a flip. I typically play it safe when it comes to early gambling and fold, but I think that in this situation I would call.

it may be because I just saw someone do this with A8s but I would also gamble it up here. I give him ATs+, 77+ or so and he probably doesn't have AA much. You're ahead of that range anyway + dead money.

I think I grit my teeth and call here and pray that he doesn't have QQ+. I agree with kstarm that AA or KK are unlikely here unless he is levelling you, so if QQ is the only hand that has you crushed then there are many more hands against which you are have the right end of a flip with shorty's dead chips in the pot.

As for how shorty affects the situation, apart from the dead chips I think it's actually good for you, because shorty's range has to be weighted towards Ax-type hands so he is far more likely to affect more of Button's outs than yours.
