Default ($11) top two pair, turn comes Ace

I figured I had good implied odds PF, so I called. If the short in the BB shoved, I'd fold because I was sure he'd be called before it was my turn again.... what is your line here?

THAT IS: if the BB shoves over preflop.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (8 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    BB (t265)
    UTG (t2340)
    UTG+1 (t1945)
    MP1 (t2105)
    MP2 (t2710)
    CO (t590)
    Button (t1440)
    Hero (t2105)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q, J.
    1 fold, UTG+1 calls t50, MP1 calls t50, MP2 calls t50, 2 folds, Hero completes, BB checks.

    Flop: (t250) 4, J, Q (5 players)
    Hero bets t300, BB folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 calls t300.

    Turn: (t850) A (2 players)
    Hero bets t600, MP2 raises to t1800, Hero calls t1155 (All-In).

I don't know what that stuff about the BB is, but you are felting this all day. He'll show up with Acxc a lot.

I meant if the BB shoved over pre-flop.

if the BB moves in and every folds to you it's a turbo call. of course if someone re raises you're folding. If someone calls you're getting too big a price to fold, especially since people tend to play really bad in side pot situations - they'll let you get there and then pay you off.

I know it looks pretty bad, but you'd have to put him on A4 or KT to make a laydown here. You won't win in this situation every time, but you'd have to have quite a read to make this laydown on the turn.
If someone raises pre-flop who is not the BB, you lay this down in a hurry. outest of position, Queen high. If the BB shoves, and nobody raises, you call. They don't need much of a hand to make a call and neither do you.
What drmc said - people get this crazy idea that you need to check it down no matter what, and tend to hang themselves in sidepot situations.
The strengh of a hero is defined by the weakness of his villains.

preflop is fine, and yes is bb shoves it's a snappy dee doo da call. you haaaaaaaaaaaaave to stack off here

    you played it perfect.

You don't beat someone with AQ in this spot by laying down the worse two pair, you beat them because most of the time they won't get there and will stack off anyway or when they let you get there with KT or clubs.

A4 is making a huge mistake pre and on the flop (unless it's Ac4c) that you make money from, same with AJ.

about the only hand that isn't playing badly here is KcTc and if he had that it's just a cooler.
