Pre Flop Odds Clarification Please

This isn't limited to STT but figured you guys will really know your maths.

Like most players, I like to know the approximate odds for the various pre flop match ups and it was watching PAD that I noticed some discrepancies so I ran some through Pokerstove to double check and got some head scratching results that I hope you can help with.

I have listed the 5 common match ups below, with the “supposed” percentages in bold along with each category. 1, 2 & 3 hold true but 4 & 5 vary. The discrepancies (hands I noticed on PAD) are highlighted in bold. For the most part, I rounded figures up/down if they were close to the expected odds.

1) Pp vs overcards = 55/45
JJ vs AK = 45/55
99 vs QJ = 45/55
88 vs KJ = 45/55
77 vs J9 = 45/55


2) Sandwich (2 cards inbetween a higher and lower card) = 60/40
AT vs KQ = 60/40
K6 vs J9 = 60/40
AT vs KQ = 60/40
K8 vs Q9 = 60/40


3) 2 over/2 under = 65/35
AT vs 85 = 65/35
AT vs 79 = 65/35
AK vs JQ = 65/35
QJ vs 96 = 65/35


4) 1 over/1 under = 65/35
AQ/KJ – 63/36
KJ/QT – 63/37
T8/97 – 63/36
QT/J9 – 65/35
QT vs A7 = 45/55
KT vs A6 = 56/43

4 are 65/35 yet 2 are flips at roughly 55/45?!?


5) Dominated = 70/30
T9/T8 – 70/30
K10/K9 – 72/28
AJ/AT – 73/26
KQ/KJ - 73/26
98/96 – 65/35


Even bigger variance with almost an even split between 75/25, 70/30 & 65/35. How and why?

Assuming your numbers are correct ( i did not check)
QT vs A7 = 45/55
KT vs A6 = 56/43, should be the other way around (A6 is favvorite)

Those are not example of 1 over 1 under, those are example when yuo have a sandwich (your category 2)

Regarding the dominated section, as the cards are lower there is a better chance for a split pot, for example

98 vs 96 will split in a board of 44AT3
but KQ/KJ will not
