Default JJ flops a set ($11).

This was early on, so no real reads on anyone. What should I do here to get maximum value? Can I afford to check it once, or would this look too much like a big hand, considering I was the pre-flop raiser?

Big Blind is t30 (9 handed)

    UTG (t1460)
    UTG+1 (t3090)
    MP1 (t1470)
    MP2 (t1330)
    Hero (t1435)
    CO (t1485)
    Button (t1870)
    SB (t1410)
    BB (t1450)

    Preflop: Hero is MP3 with J , J .
    3 folds, MP2 calls t30, Hero raises to t120, 3 folds, BB calls t120, MP2 calls t120

    Flop: (t375) 4 , 8 , J (3 players)
BB checks, MP2 checks, Hero ??

I would cbet here. You'd be amazed at how much you get paid off if you cbet and have top set, even on dry boards

If this were heads up I don't think its bad to check behind here, but with 2 opps I'd just cbet and hope someone comes along

I bet like 180-200 here and hope that somebody caught a piece of the board or is prepared to call in the hope of hitting their missed overcard(s).

    Thanks for the replies.

I checked behind here, the turn came K, they both checked again, I bet 300 and they both folded. So annoying!

I just thought I may get a few more chips by checking it once, if one of them hit their turn card. In this case it made no difference anyway.

Unfortunately, flopping top set isn't always a cheque in the mail. Just like when you pick up aces, raise preflop and end up with 30 chips in blinds for your trouble.
