I don't think so... I think we're shoving AQ+ here... I'm guessing this without any program, so I'm not exactly sure.

AQ+ is good I think. Must be very tight UTG until you're 3-handed.
    Ich grolle nicht...

If your not the shortstack and desperate, pushing anything below AQ can get you into trouble most times. Just let the shortstack push with a marginal hand like A9 and one of the deepstacks call them with a low to mid pocket pair and bust them out.

according to SNGWIZ this is a clear fold and you should only be pushing something like TT+AK+ here (based on calling ranges. Loose calling ranges push this down a bit, but not to A9s).
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

Pushing here is actually good if blinds are at 200/400/25, but I'm pretty sure A9s it close to the minimum needed in CO on bubble with your stack size.

    umm, wat

    all-in

Haven't run it through SNG Wiz, but this is almost certainly not a shove.

Well, when the SB calls, he has better than a random hand since he's not going to risk losing 1/3 of his stack and sacrifice the chip lead with 62o, so you're going to need to adjust his range. There's no way you're 60% to win the hand if he calls. What his range exactly is, is up to you.

I'd put ATs+, AJo+, and pairs down to like 55 in his range for sure. Run that in PS and you'll see why this probably isn't a shove.

No, you need to download SNG Wiz if you don't already have it and run it through that. It has a 30 day free trial...

Anyway, with the following assumptions. If you shove:

    - Button calls with 8% of hands (66+, AT+)
    - SB calls with 12% of hands (44+, A9o+, A7s+, KJs+)
    - BB calls with 10% of hands (55+, ATo+, A8s+, KQs)

    - If you fold, Button shoves 30% and the others call with 20%
    - If you and Button fold, SB shoves 30% and BB calls with 2%

Then the EV of folding is 21.36% of the prize pool and the EV of shoving is 20.5% of the prize pool, so shoving is 0.86% EV worse than folding, so you should fold.

hmm well i didnt see this:

Seat 7: dealtAA (1164 in chips)

i mean i guess you could fold... what would calling ranges have to be for this to be +ev? folding to me seems sinful, but i'm a donk.

Pretty clear fold considering your position and the presence of a shorter stack.
  14. #14
Very clear fold with the tiny-stack in there. Also a clear fold even if you were the shortest at the table.

    SNGWiz Results:
With tight ranges from everyone (8%, 12%, 12%), this is -0.85EV which is pretty large (you want around +0.30 or so)

Varying the ranges a little, it recommends at minimum TT+, AQs+ to max at TT+ AK+

    Other example:

If you assume stacks are a little more even:
    UTG (Hero) - 2135
    Button - 2500
    SB - 6071
    BB - 4000

There was still no way for me to tweak the range and make this a shove. At worst it was -0.80EV (for looser calling ranges) and at best it was -0.19EV. Minimum shove range that was recommended was 99+ AQ+
