Win Rate, per hour, at any level?

Default Win Rate, per hour, at any level?

How much do you guys make an hour? If this is too personal, then don't answer, but I was just wondering how well you guys did. I'm trying to get a good estimate as to how much I can make per hour playing 6-10 $11 turbo SnGs for 8 hours per day. I make a dollar an hour 2-tabling $3.40 SnGs with a 17% ROI, and was wondering what it would take to get to around $9-10 an hour.

    Thanks for any info.

Read alot of the info on this site, play ALOT more poker within your bankroll and don't think you can just start "making $9 to $11 an hour".

If you only have a 17% ROI at $3.40's you will have a -27% ROI at $11 turbo's.
You are an FTR station-pwn'ing badass motherf**ker. You have no pansyass, girly-girl, crybaby fears. Pwn the f**king stations like you know you ought to. And win some damn money, dammit.

I wasn't expecting to just "start" making that much. That goal is about 10 months away for me. I was curious about other people's statistical information, and how it related to their hourly win rate, if they were willing to share it. I know I am nowhere near that point. Just looking for some information...

A decent long term ROI at the $16 games provided you table select to avoid the regs would be about 10% playing 8 tables at once. Assuming you play one set per hour (to allow yourself some breaks) you should be able to achieve an hourly rate of about $12-13 per hour.

If the above is true, then the Stars $16.00's are probably the least profitable SNG on Stars. I would argue that you can make a better hourly playing 15-20 $6.50 turbos, with 10-15% ROI, which I do think is possible, as there are way less regs and competition is much softer.

Sorry but anyone that says their goal is to make x amount in x amount of time worries me. Esp. when they are 2 tabling $3.40's and they talk about 6-10 tables at a higher level for 8 hours a day. And 10 months....whoa. Thats like saying you play b-ball at the Y twice a week but think you can hit the pro's in 10 months or so. Maybe I'm way off though...

That analogy just seems ridiculous to me, especially considering the consistent statements I hear about the SnGs from $1-11, and the lack of competitive strength. I actually 4 table now, and should be up to 8 soon enough if my progress stays consistent, even though I am way overrolled for $3.40 turbos. Is it that far-fetched to think that someone could reach the level I'm after given nearly a year to practice??

you have to understand that we get posts like this all the time and the vast majority of new SNG posters are gone within three months. It isn't so much the competition as the ability to deal with the swings, which just get worse as you move up. If you keep playing I'm sure you'll be playing 10s long before a year.

Plus you may find after 6 months you hate SNGs and never want to ever play another one. 8 hours a day is a LOT of poker. Every reg we have had at FTR who played a lot of 1 tables and moved up in stakes has either quit poker or moved to a different format (or maybe stopped posting).

Ooh I see. I've considered it some, and the ability to deal with the swings is going to be extremely important for me. Thanks for the heads-up, because that's a serious concern. I have no plans of quitting (and I know noone ever does), and I hope I can handle it. Thanks for that information.

I thought of quitting sngs a lot but because I'm a stubborn man those quitting thoughts turned to investments to get better at them..
