    Default $5 SnG Stats....very small sample :((

    Ok so I decided I wanted to review my $5 SnG stats to see were i was at because I really had no idea how I was doing at this level...besides the fact that I was fairly consistent in finishing ITM..So I jumped on sharkscope and went through my stats with a fine marker....are these stats, firstly correct and second are these stats decent for this level?
    Here they are:
    Total SnG's played: 82
    Total ITM finishes: 36
    1st- 11
    2nd-16
    3rd-9
    Total Winnings: $407.00
    Total sum invested: $451.00
    Total ROI (???): not sure how to calculate it...would be nice if someone could do it for me..thanks

    ROI is profit / buy ins

    the stickies have average ROI and % stuff in them.

    ROI= 100 x (total profit)/(total buyin)

    100 x -44 / 451 = -9.76%

    You would prefer that number to be positive , somewhere around 20%. But your sample size is not large enough.

    well that kind of sucks..thought I had a better ROI then that..thanks for calculating it tho...Oh and would a reasonable sample size be like 200-300 SnG for a level or is that still to small?

    Most ppl say 500, then they say that still may not be enough. Shoot for 500, and the gold.

    If you are playing on pokerstars, then I think your total winnings aren't correct.

    In the $5 SNGs, the payout is as follows:
    1st: $22.50 x 11 = $247.50
    2nd: $13.50 x 16 = $216
    3rd: $9 x 9 = $81

    Total Winnings = $544.50
    Total Cost = 82 * $5.50 = $451
    Total Profit = $544.50 - $451 = $93.50
    ROI = $93.50 / $451 = 20.73%

    20% is decent...keep it up.

    which is a good lead in to me saying you should be tracking your own results and not relying on SS for anything more than an occasional check.

    I have played over 800 SNG's at the $5.50 level with a 26% ROI and still have no idea if I am any good. LOL
    You are an FTR station-pwn'ing badass motherf**ker. You have no pansyass, girly-girl, crybaby fears. Pwn the f**king stations like you know you ought to. And win some damn money, dammit.

    Oh and drmcboy...thanks for the suggestion...I've just started doing a poker journal and I will be logging my sessions and stats in there...

    A lot of people don't even think 1000 games is enough to tell your true ROI

    thats a lot of SnG to play and not get a good idea of where you stand at that level....I guess I will try and shoot for at least 300 at the $5 level and see where to go from there...realizing this is still a small sample...
