Default PS bonus - take it or wait?

I was going to make use of PS '2X' bonus today, as I had $45 spare in my moneybookers account. I figured I may as well use it to earn the PS 40% bonus. When I did this PS warned me I could earn $240 if I deposited $600 dollars. So it obviously makes sense to deposit as close to $600 as possible.

I have some additional funds at FT (around $70) but does it make sense to withdraw my PS funds ($400) and then redeposit them to maximise the bonus? Is this acceptable (well it may be morally questionable, but then again so are most poker rooms IMO)?

Pretty sure withdrawing during this time period voids eligibility on the bonus.

Yes, if you withdraw funds from PS you can no longer redeposit and get the b0nus.

If you can spare it (and your credit card company allows it), best to just deposit the full $600 then withdraw it as soon as you can thereafter - which does not void the b0nus.

For the first deposit bonus wait till you can deposit the max amount

I've taken your advice and deposited $600. According to PS this can be withdrawn 48 hours after a deposit. It's going to be a long grind to clear (4800 pts and I only get 3 for each $6.50 I play!)

That's a lot of points. I think I deposited $200 to clear my bonus of $50 and had to clear 750 points. I believe I had 6 months to do it. You sure you had to deposit $600. Been awhile since I deposited so I can't really remember.

So 4800 points over 6 months works out to an average of 160 points per day or 53 SNGs!!! I hope you are multi-tabling

you don't have to deposit 600, he's trying to get the max b)nus, after 600 you don't get any extra.

LMAO...that's what I get for doing quick math

    4800 points
over 6 months (avg 30 days per month) = 180 days
    4800 / 180 = 26.67 points per day...round up to 27.

$5 SNG (3 points): 9 per day (1600 in total)
$10 SNG (5 points): 5.4 per day (960 in total)

If you don't complete your bonus on PS, you get nothing. So if you don't think you can play that many SNGs over 6 months, then maybe deposit less as the bonus amount and thus # of VPP needed are based on your deposit amount. That is assuming you can deposit something less than $600 and still be eligible for a bonus which I think you can for this one.

Now you've got me thinking about depositing See if my math looks OK on this.

*Based on play in $5 SNGS:
Deposit - Bonus - # SNGS - Avg per day (over 180 days)
    $600 - $240 - 1600 - 8.9
    $500 - $200 - 1333 - 7.4
    $375 - $150 - 1000 - 5.6
    $250 - $100 - 667 - 3.7
    $125 - $50 - 333 - 1.9
    $100 - $40 - 267 - 1.5
    $75 - $30 - 200 - 1.1
    $50 - $20 - 133 - 0.7

I think I will deposit around $250 to try and unlock the bonus of $100.

Yeah, it's a lot of games. I miscalculated the points needed to clear as, as the last bonus I got was 500 pts to unlock $50. I assumed it was 2400 to unlock $240. It goes to show, assume nothing!

So I am guessing you bought in for the $600?

If you can do these bonuses they are a great way to build your bankroll.

No matter how many games you need to play to unlock the bonus...that bonus increases your ROI by 2.73%.

Example: Deposit $250 to unlock bonus of $100...need to play 667 games @ $5.50 (FPP=3).
If you ran at 5% ROI during that entire time, you would increase your bankroll by $283.
If you ran at 10% ROI during that entire time, you would increase your bankroll by $467.
If you ran at1 5% ROI during that entire time, you would increase your bankroll by $650.
If you ran at 20% ROI during that entire time, you would increase your bankroll by $834.

Yup, I have 6 months and I figure I'll eventually level up at some point, so I'm hoping it gets easier to earn the bonus.

Best of luck man. I am going to stick with the $5s and try to play 6 at a time...shouldn't be too hard to unlock the bonus.
