Default First hand $6.50 45 person on stars (AK)

UTG+1 puts in the "standard" 12x bb raise to 240 and gets one caller. I'm sitting in the CO with AK offsuit, whats the play? Are we peeling a flop here or shoving over?
My guess is that if I shove I get at least two callers.

In game I often shove but I have been running into huge pairs so often lately I might just fold. Last night in a $55 some guy with a 1200 stack made it 300 over one limper at 15/30, I shoved over with QQ, the limper over calls with 55, and the 300 guy had AA. /Shrug

Calling is the worst option, if they have small pairs you get no action on the flop, if you have them dominated they may get away cheap.

If you can put AQ in his range (and I think you can) it's a shove.

At the time I hastily dismissed folding as an option, but calling seems terrible and basically playing for all your chips in this spot is marginal too. I usually just wait it out till high blinds then become a push monkey, so I think I'm now leaning towards folding this. It's pretty obvious that calling is terrible though...

I think that his range is probably pretty big. Normally bad players do this with a hand that is decent but hard to play post flop. I shove.
