Default 3-bet light and got called

Villain is 19/16/2.5, solid player, steals blinds like they were willed to him by a rich uncle. We have about 70 hands together and I have been pretty nitty for that stretch - no big hands with him or anyone else.

I figured he would give up to the 3-bet. Is this a good flop for me to c-bet? Is my c-bet sized well to rep AA/AK?

I don't think he's continuing on this flop without a set/NFD/AK. Given the range he is calling you with pre, I think this is an autocbet like 100% of the time. However you don't need to make the bet so large. 10 will suffice

I worry that a $10 bet might get pounced on by him - he's aggro and in position, he might read it as weak and make my life difficult. $13 is basically the bet I'd make if I had AA/AK here, so I went with that.

I still think 13 is big enough to be spew in these spots. You're going to cbet a good amount of flops in 3bet pots OOP, so why put more money in when we're not good? Also, if you think a 10 dollar bet gets raised, then bet 10 dollars when you have JJ/KK/AA. EZ game

Basically with balancing your hands in terms of bet sizes, you dont have to "match" your AA line. You could try to match your AA line with your bluff lines.

On a sooooted, possible straight draw board? For realsies? I dunno man, that seems like I'm just begging to get socked in the jaw.

he doesnt have a FD in his range enough to be worried about it as much as you are. His range is primarily AK/KQ/88-AA/SCs (that missed completely) and the occasional AQ/AJ. How many of those are floating, how many are raising, and how many are folding? I think that without history, you're rarely going to get that many floats, so I think we can safely rule out 88-TT/QQ a lot of the time. That leaves JJ/KK/33(almost never)/AK/diamond draws that continue. I think his range is so much wider here that betting larger is just going to be spew.

I could be totally wrong too I'm just saying what works for me.

Also now that I think about it I like a 10.50 dollar bet, but anything more is spew still.

Plus in a raised pot (non 3bet) we have t worry about flushes/straights peeling a lot more since they have much more implied odds. Here he's basically getting a 0 EV on his FD if he hits and stacks, which he wont ever when we bluff (like now), and which he will when we have KK/AA, but eh thats a cooler IMO. You can't always be afraid of variance..you gotta embrace it.

It's a -EV bet for us (10 dollar) if he has a FD 100% of the itme. But he doesnt, so thats why it's actually +EV. Does that make sense?

It might... I understand your point, I'd love to hear from others on this. Might be time to start stoving this one.
